Course completion

After successfully completing all the course assessments. students are required to sit a supervised. two hour. written examination containing, various types of questions, based on the coursework, including case studies and discharge summaries to be coded. The course pass mark is 80%. The average of the assessment marks contributes 30% and the final examination mark contributes 70% towards the calculation of the final course mark. 
For example 

      average mark of assessments    85% x .3 = 25.5%
    + final examination mark                 78% x .7 = 54.6%

final result is 80% (pass)


A Certificate of Achievement is issued to students who pass the course. This Certificate is recognised within the Health Information Management profession.
