Course completion

After completing all assessments in the course students are required to sit a supervised two hour written examination containing various types of questions based on the coursework, including short answer, fill-in the word, multiple choice and expanding medical abbreviations. The pass mark for the course is 80%. The average of the assessment marks contributes 20% and the final examination contributes 80% towards the calculation of the final course mark.
For example
      average mark of assessments          90% x .2 = 18.0%
    + final examination result                       80% x .8 = 64.0%

Final course mark is 82%

Students who successfully complete this course will be issued with the HIMAA Certificate of Achievement which is recognised within the Health Information Management profession.
