WW5912 - Health Information Manager - (Contract) - The Royal Women's Hospital, Parkville, VIC

  • Fixed Term Position (Parental leave replacement) Contract until March 2018 – 38 hours per week (or 40 with ADO)

A great opportunity exists within Health Records and Information at the Royal Women’s Hospital for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Information Manager to join our team. The incumbent will possess an ethic of hard work and a willingness to become an integral part of the Coding Team.

The primary role of the successful applicant will include ICD-10-AM coding and other coding related activities. Obstetric, gynaecology and neonatal coding knowledge and a sound understanding of casemix would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities / Duties: 

Your duties will include the following:

  • Clinical coding using ICD - 10 AM, ACHI and ACS
  • Completion of monthly coding within organisational time frames
  • Maintain knowledge in current methods and standards of coding
  • Completion of cancer notification
  • Maintain working relationship with clinicians


To be successful within this role you will need to have:

  • Health Information Management qualifications
  • Current knowledge of ICD - 10 AM 9th edition
