District Clinical Coding Manager – Central Coast Local Health District The Clinical Coding Manager directly contributes to the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) meeting its financial management and reporting requirements under Activity Based Management through providing the future direction and leading all clinical coding activities for the District.

This position will lead and mentor a team of Clinical Coders and ensure NSW Health coding targets are met. The position will ensure that coding staff resources are positioned to complete the coding of inpatient separations each month, in line with key performance indicators.

The position provides expert advice, exchanges information, develops and presents/facilitates educational sessions, negotiates and consults on a wide range of coding issues with stakeholders across the LHD.

The Clinical Coding Manager will develop and oversee an ongoing clinical coding quality and audit program to improve coding and casemix performance and ensure compliance with NSW Health coding targets and quality indicators.

The position is directly responsible for the leadership and effective daily management of an establishment of 23 Coders and three HSM2 Auditors/Educators.

The role will be based at Gosford Hospital with the requirement to regularly travel across the District
