Responsibilities / Duties: 

The NWMH EMR Project Co-ordinator is a key liaison person across NWMH that co-ordinates EMR activities with service partners. Over the next number of years the implementation of an EMR program of works will occur across Western, Melbourne and Northern health services that will transform the NWMH services and improve patient experience, safety and clinical outcomes.

The position will involve a range of activities including the development of an EMR business case for NWMH services aligned with Northern and Western Health. You will manage project risks, issues and scope within the governance structures ensuring appropriate reporting, escalation and approvals. You will take the lead in preparing and seeking endorsement of key project activities ensuring all deliverables are clearly communicated and agreed upon.

This is a leadership position and the successful applicant is likely to have 5+ years of experience working within a large IT Project(s).

  • Tertiary degree and/or professional qualification in Management, Program/Project Management, Health Management, Information Technology Management or related fields is required;
  • Project Management certification such as Prince2, PMBoK is desirable;
  • Experience in finance or contract management is desirable;
  • An understanding of Mental Health Services is desirable.
