  • Clinical Coder – Clinical Coding Service, Digital Transformation Services, Southport and Robina, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.

About the role:

Assign accurate and timely clinical codes to episodes of care through analysis of clinical documentation using the appropriate version of the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM), Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) and applying Australian Coding Standards, relevant National and State Coding Authority advice and all available information systems.

Requirements of the role

  • While not mandatory, completion of relevant qualifications Health Information Management Association of Australia or TAFE courses), and evidence of coding proficiency with a minimum of 2 years coding experience within a tertiary healthcare facility, is highly desirable.
