WW6040 - HIM Graduate - Data Assurance Analyst - (Full-time) - Western Health - Williamstown, VIC


An exciting opportunity is available for an individual to work in a dynamic and high performing team environment. This role would suite a Health Information Management (HIM) Graduate, who is seeking an alternative to Clinical Coding. The ideal candidate, will be enthusiastic and motivated with strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with staff at various levels of the organisation.

This role will be responsible for the management of the Victorian Admitted Episode Dataset (VAED) and the Agency Information Management System (AIMS) datasets at Western Health (WH). This includes complete and timely submission of the data to the Department of Health & Human Services whilst ensuring data quality is maintained at the highest level. Where required, the role will involve ensuring key staff are educated and aware of current business rules, ensuring educational material available is up-to-date and relevant, and providing reports across the Health Service.

Western Health is the major public healthcare provider throughout Western Metropolitan Melbourne and we provide a wide range of services. Managing the processes that support the data for these services is vital to ensuring that the Health Service operates efficiently and effectively. The data assurance process is paramount to ensuring the information used for reporting and decision support is of high quality.

This full-time, 12 month contract position provides a salary commensurate with experience and the opportunity to take advantage of not-for-profit salary packaging arrangements.
