WW6104 - Chief Health Information Manager - ( Part-time Maternity leave position) - Geelong Private Hospital & The Geelong Clinic - Geelong, VIC

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated, experienced and dynamic Health Information Manager to provide strong leadership across two Healthscope sites. This varied leadership role will manage a dedicated team of HIMs and clerks. Responsibilities include the ongoing review of HIS processes to ensure optimum efficiency, recruitment, training and development of staff, medical record forms review, management of medico-legal / medical record access / research and clinical trial requests, ICD-10-AM Coding, completion of Quality Improvement activities, represent HIS on various committees and ensuring all department KPIs are achieved at both hospitals.

Located within our CBD, Geelong Private Hospital is a 107 bed acute private hospital, undertaking a full range of surgical, medical, rehabilitation and cardiac services. Situated on the eastern side of Geelong, The Geelong Clinic is a 45 bed Psychiatric Hospital which provides a full range of services for people requiring mental health support and treatment.

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience
  • Staff management experience
  • A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
