We currently provide a 24 hour Emergency Department, 10 bed Intensive Care Unit, and 16 bed Coronary Care Unit, 7 Operating Theatres including a Hybrid Theatre, Cath Lab, and Endoscopy suite, Short Stay Unit and Medical & Surgical Wards as well as the Consulting Suites.

The Valley has undergone significant development over the past 6 years with the vision to be the hospital of choice for the 1.2 million people in our rapidly growing catchment area. The hospital has increased in number of beds and Operating rooms and broadened the range of clinical services and with higher patient acuity.

The Valley Private Hospital's exciting expansion project will also see the completion of a state of the art fully integrated Cancer Centre, additional Theatres and additional beds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

HealtheCare is committed to the provision of high standards of health care delivery and is continually striving to improve performance. The role of the Health Information Manager responsible is responsible for ICD-10-AM coding and associated tasks, monthly reporting, quality activities and support to the Health Information Services Manager

  • Ensuring accuracy and efficient ICD-10-AM coding and indexing
  • Assisting in submission to HealtheCare, appropriate government bodies, health funds and any other statutory and legislative requirements for health information are met within the stipulated time frames
  • Assist in the development of a hospital Revenue Improvement Plan
  • Participation and completion of hospital internal and external audit programs

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management (or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as Health Information Manager or equivalent
  • High computer proficiency skills
  • Working knowledge of State and Commonwealth Government Statutory requirements


  • Experience in hospital PAS systems and MS Office
