About the role

Barwon Health - Information Services based at University Hospital Geelong have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Health Information Manager / Clinical Coder to join their team.

As a HIM/CC, you will be responsible to code inpatient episodes to an agreed quantity and quality. You will build relationships with clinical staff to support and educate them in documentation of their patient episodes and assist with the instigation and ongoing support of clinical unit meetings.

You must have experience coding using ICD-10-AM and have demonstrated casemix knowledge. You will be confident with a variety of computer software packages, well developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and time management skills and bring a strong team focused ‘CAN DO’ approach to contribute to our positive working environment.
