About the role

This fixed term, full time position is through to 14/6/2019. Choose your location and work at one of our great facilities across the local health district.

As the District Admitted Data Quality Manager you will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing and delivering a framework inclusive of reporting, training and education activities to ensure accurate admitted patient data.

In this role you will work with relevant internal and external stakeholders including administration staff, cluster/facility managers and Health Information Managers to ensure admitted patient data is accurate for each episode of care. This role provides expert advice and information on admitted patient data quality activities to optimise outcomes through an improved understanding of admitted patient data by relevant stakeholders. What are we seeking?

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or other relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in using data management and analysis skills to achieve improved operational outcomes preferably within a large organisation.
  • Experience in the management of health service data collection systems at a District level including extensive knowledge of services and service delivery in a large and diverse health service and ability to analyse and interpret health service activity data in an operational context
  • Demonstrated detailed understanding of the relationship between patient activity data and patient management, service planning and activity based funding/management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience or the capacity to quickly acquire understanding and application relating to the use of Health Information systems, such as, Patient Administration Systems (iPM), eMR and advanced skills in MS Office software (Excel, Access and Word). Experience with managing data systems and using SQL server will be highly regarded.
