Working within a resource rich environment with many opportunities for professional development and advancement, this is a fantastic position within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) to join the leadership team of the Clinical Coding Service.

Primarily, this role is responsible for managing a team of Clinical Coding staff to ensure a high quality Clinical Coding Service. As the Assistant Manager, Clinical Coding Service, you will be accountable for the provision of a timely and accurate allocation of ICD10-AM codes for inpatient and same-day episodes of care in accordance with the State Health Authority (SA Health) Casemix Reporting Standards (Australian and State Coding Standards and ICD10-AM Classification Conventions).

A qualification in Health Administration or a Bachelor of Applied Science (HIM) or equivalent is highly desirable. You will bring the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality output. With demonstrated proficiency in using a computerised patient information system, you will have the ability to lead a team of staff to meet monthly deadlines and ad-hoc reporting as required.
In addition, you will possess good organisation skills which will go hand in hand with your ability to plan, and schedule work according to priorities.
