WW6422 - Clinical Coder or HIM - (Part-time)- Mercy Hospital For Women - Heidelberg - VIC


Exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Coder/HIM with a passion for coding & a thorough knowledge of coding standards, to join our HIS team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Permanent Part-time, 3 days per week.
  • Ensure completion of monthly ICD-10-AM coding within set deadlines.
  • To participate and report on quality coding and casemix reviews and audits.
  • Participate in quality management studies aimed at improving HIS service, systems and procedures towards better internal and external HIS customer service.
  • Help to identify potential records to be audited.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Clinical Coder Certification (or recognised equivalent).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-AM coding and casemix.
  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience in clinical coding.
