About the role:

An opportunity exists for an experienced clinical coder to join out coding team at Calvary Hobart. The successful applicant will be required to provide accurate and timely coding of patient records using ICD-10-AM classification, with both Codefinder and Turbo Coder available.

Calvary Hobart offers a wide range of medical specialties including surgical, medical, rehabilitation, obstetrics, oncology, day surgery, special care nursery, critical care and cardiac. The coding unit is situated in South Hobart in a newly renovated building with fabulous views of Hobart's iconic Mount Wellington.

What you bring

  • HIMAA or equivalent clinical coding qualifications
  • Proven ability to accurately classify diseases and procedures using ICD-10-AM (10th edition) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Proven knowledge of casemix principles and DRGs
  • Ability to liaise with professional staff members at all levels
  • Experience covering a variety of medical specialities
