Responsibilities / Duties: 

The UPI Data Steward Manager will establish, implement and maintain the internal controls, processes and procedures that support the successful operation of the Unique Patient Identification (UPI) solution at the department in collaboration with health services' stakeholders. The position will establish the governance model including the methods and procedures for successful operation of the solution including tracking data quality, completeness and improvement opportunities. The UPI Data Steward Manager will engage with various internal and external stakeholder to define data processes, quality metrics, agree on targets, and create plans managing toward the targets.


Essential: 
  • Able to build and manage a small operations team to be responsible for delivering and supporting best practice data governance and management processes across the Victorian public health service.
  • Confident, approachable and able to provide clear, concise and sound advice on data from both the business and technical perspective.
  • Able to demonstrate efficient and effective management of information management services, systems and processes.
  • A person with strong expertise and experience in the development of health data collection, quality and reporting systems.
