The Position

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is searching for a Clinical Coder to join their team. As a clinical coder you will be responsible for conducting records and procedure codes for all inpatients, assist with medical record retrievals and attend and continue education programs relevant to clinical coding.

We are seeking an individual with over 3 + years coding experience and sound knowledge of DRGs and 3m code Finder.

Due to growth within the business, St John of God Murdoch is offering a Permanent Full time role working 76 hours per fortnight.

The successful candidate will have:

- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Completion of a nationally recognised Clinical Coding course
- Recent working knowledge of clinical coding using the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health
- Problems, 10th Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM), in a hospital environment
- Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Sound knowledge and understanding of casemix
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Australian Coding Standards
