An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to join the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) team at Northern Health.

The successful applicant will work as part of the CDI team to engage with clinical staff, review clinical documentation at the point of care and provide education to improve documentation practices. This unique role also offers coding and auditing opportunities.

We require an enthusiastic Health Information Manager / Clinical Coder with effective communication and organisational skills that can work in a team environment and relate well to all levels of staff.

This role is a full time position at 80 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities / Duties: 
Essential: 

Eligible for full membership with HIMAA
Experience in a Health Information Management role within a medium to large complex health service.
Extensive casemix knowledge and coding experience within a medium to large complex health service.
Must have completed 11th edition coding education
Knowledge of current ABF model
Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Effective communication and management skills
Proven ability to achieve targets and deadlines
