WW6747 - Project manager health record relocation - Contract - SESLHD, Randwick NSW

To project manage the migration of all of SESLHD’s Health Information and Corporate records from multiple off-site storage vendors to a single storage vendor. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, delivering and reporting on the project within the required timeframe and budget. Liaising with vendors (previous and current) and sites/facilities in regards to records management practices, procedures, and needs is critical to the success of the project.

Responsibilities / Duties: 

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of the project
• Develop a comprehensive project plan to monitor, track and report on progress
• Build and manage relationships with vendors and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimise project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Work with key stakeholders to identify appropriate record retention periods and oversee destruction where applicable
• Responsible for relocation process including the design, development, and implementation of change management and effective stakeholder management, business process improvement, and benefits realization
• Comply with and implement the NSW Health Work and Safety Better Practice Procedures by identifying, assessing, eliminating/controlling and monitoring hazards and risks within workplaces across SESLHD
• Provide on-site advice regarding record storage to all facilities within SESLHD on both corporate and health records
• Liaise with previous and current storage vendor regarding storage processes – including site visits and review of current archived documents


Relevant tertiary qualifications in health information management, or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience in a large, complex health organisation
Proven Project Management experience with the ability to implement projects and health solutions into the business environment of a large, complex health organisation, including planning; implementation; change management; and benefits realisation to ensure high quality deliverables.
Proven abilities in negotiation, decision making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of strategic directions in the delivery of health information services in a public hospital setting to deliver outcomes.
Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation in relation to health information
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders in delivering organisational outcomes
Proven understanding of legislation, policies, and procedures that govern health and corporate record retention and destruction.
Hold valid Class C drivers licence to drive in NSW and willingness to travel within Greater Sydney region.
